The idea is simple: make some nice things, have a drink, eat some snacks and hang out with other creative people.
You can come with a friend, bring someone who wants to learn something new, or come on your own and meet some people.
The workshop is deliberately beginner-friendly, relaxed and social, with plenty of guidance along the way.
BYO alcohol is welcome. Tea, coffee and a few snacks will be provided. If you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements, just let us know beforehand.
Held at The Dale Library in Chippendale, just a short walk from Central Station.
Choose your favourite breed on the day, or submit a photo of your own dog when booking for a more personal portrait
While unfortunately your dog cannot join us, our resident cutie Abbie, will be there for plenty of cuddles and company.

Children under 14 may attend at the organiser’s discretion if they can follow instructions, participate respectfully in a group with strangers, and are genuinely interested in the painting. Consider your child’s confidence, attention span and interest before booking.
Do I need any painting experience?
Not at all! This workshop is designed for absolute beginners. Your canvas will have a textured background and a pre-drawn dog face, so you can focus on painting and having fun.
Can I paint my own dog?
Absolutely! Submit a clear photo of your dog when booking, and we'll use it to prepare your canvas. Otherwise, you can choose from our selection of cute dog breeds on the day.
Can I bring my own dog?
As much as we'd love to meet all your pups, dogs can't attend this workshop. Luckily, our resident Moodle, Abbie, will be there for puppy cuddles and moral support.
Are food and drinks provided?
Yes! We'll have light refreshments, snacks, tea and coffee available. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know beforehand.
BYO drinks are welcome. Feel free to bring something you'd enjoy sipping while you paint.
Can I book with a friend?
Definitely! Bring a friend and get their ticket for half price. It's a great excuse for a creative afternoon together.
Will Abbie accept cuddles?
Abbie is our resident four-legged guest of honour, so there may be opportunities for puppy cuddles throughout the afternoon. We can't promise she'll be available for the entire session, but she's certainly part of the charm!
